Feeding Frenzy

Today is the triplets actual due date, and yesterday was their one month mark.  According to Taya and Bennett's weights today (6.15 and 7.6) plus Anderson's weight from Friday (8.5 + about 6 ounces like Taya gained over the same period, that would put him at 8.11), that would put their total weight at 23 lbs.  I don't know how close that would have been to actual birthweight but regardless, that is a lot of baby!  It is a good thing that she had them when she did!
These weight numbers are from Friday:

As I was thinking today about the past month and all of the amazing things that have come our way, I realized that I never even mentioned that on the exact same day that the triplets were born they had two cousins born too!  One was Beau and Amy's little son Tennyson, who was actually a huge surprise to come when he did.  Amy was due two days before Emily (which would have been 1/26/13), and he decided to come a few weeks early!  He was an awesomely perfect little baby and their story is one you should hear, pretty amazing!  The other cousin born on the same day was to my cousin Spencer and his wife Michelle.  Their baby Sam decided to show up on their first anniversary!  Lots of cousins born on the same day, pretty special!  (Sorry Spencer, I don't have any pictures of your kid!)

So, we have really been feeling like we have got this whole triplet thing down...well, that was our thought anyway.  Today, my mother-in-law left, and now we feel like lost little sheep.  For all of you who know my mother-in-law, she is the neatest person, she was such a HUGE help, she would do the laundry, make dinners, help with feedings in the middle of the night, etc, etc, etc.  Needless to say, we are not as ready as we thought we were.  Thank the heavens that my mom will be here tomorrow to help out!  Those of you who know my mom, know that she is a HUGE help too!  She also has helped with the laundry, the feedings, the dinners, etc, etc, etc.  We are thrilled to have some more help for the next couple of weeks from our moms.  They really are the best moms anyone could ask for!  THANK YOU!!!

It sure feels as if our world right now revolves around the hours of 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm, 2am and 6am.  Those are the hours these little tikes wake up to get their bottles.  And do they like their bottles! Usually.  It is a chore and sometimes we get lucky enough to be the only ones to feed them, so we have to get creative with feeding them.  Today while I was at work and school, Cooper decided to pitch in and fed 2 babies!  Even our little man Coop is getting the hang of the feedings!  Now we just need to teach him how to change their little bums.  After all is said and done, we can usually have all 3 fed and diapered in about 30 minutes, not too bad if I say so myself!  Based on this we are changing 21 diapers a day, give or take about 3, and we are going through about a can of formula a day!  It seems like a lot, but we wouldn't change it for anything in the world.  I think that everyone should be blessed to have multiples (yes, I realize I am saying this after only a month, but I mean it).

While Emily was still in the hospital, a nurse came in to the room to ask if she could take pictures of the babies for her portfolio, she has a side job of photographer.  We said that would be fine (because she said she'd do it for free!).  Anyway, she came over yesterday to take some pictures, it was kind of fun, except that it took about 2+ hours.  She said that is usually about the time it takes her to do a shoot for a singleton baby, so she must've done really well with the triplets!  Here are a couple of "behind the scenes" and preview pictures:

Also recently, we have realized that our 2 boys look like they are going to be redheads, especially Bennett!  I have tried to get a good view of the color, but it is hard, this is all I have gotten so far of Bennett:
